This is a 2-session workshop packed with technical tips, ideas, and frameworks to add the level of details and filigree that your lettering pieces deserve.
Most lettering artists who want to add decoration and flourishing to their designs have the fear of messing up and play it safe. They add a swash here, a frame there, but never really explore how much adding elements the right way can make their designs take off.
In this workshop, I’ll unveil all the techniques, frameworks, and systems that WORK to add decoration and flourishing to your design. I'll share time-efficient tips and tricks that will help you add a level of detail to your pieces that you didn’t know they could have, and that will stay with you forever.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Martina Flor combines her talents as both a designer and an illustrator in the drawing of letters. In 2010 she started her studio in Berlin and since then has worked with several high profile clients, been on stage at dozens of design conferences, won awards, and taught thousands of aspiring freelance lettering designers to hone their craft, become hand-lettering masters, and expand their business.
Elías Prado is a lettering artist and designer. He graduated in Industrial Design in Gran Canaria, Spain, and specialized in graphic design, advertising and illustration. In 2018 he joined Studio Martina Flor as a senior designer to focus on lettering and type design. Since then he's developed a unique skill to polish letterforms, finalize designs and create efficient workflows for professional artists.

Yes! This is an online course, so you can access from wherever you are. Our student rooster is extremely international, you’ll love it!
The program is open to designers, lettering artists, illustrators, students, and professionals of all levels of expertise. Beginners, as well as more experienced attendees, are welcome.
You will need a computer with Adobe Illustrator installed. You can also use an ipad if that’s your favorite tool to draws lettering. Ideally, bring along a lettering piece to which you’d lik to add decorative elements during the sessions. The fee covers the attendance to both sessions, life-time access, cheatsheets, feedback from other students and instructor, and joining the academy community.
